Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) July Advisory Council meeting will take place via Zoom on July 24, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

This meeting will feature a presentation from Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) about sustainable financing for agriculture and what Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting requirements might mean for your farm operation. You can read more about RBC’s ESG reporting here.

There will also be a presentation from Shawn Friesen, CPA, CA, of BDO Canada to talk about recent changes in Budget 2024 by the federal government relating to capital gains tax rules and how they could impact your farm operation.

KAP policy is developed by farmers and commodity group members representing all agricultural commodities and all regions of Manitoba.

Advisory Council delegates will debate resolutions to shape KAP policy on a variety of key issues.
