In the past several years the agricultural crown lands leasing program has gone through a number of changes. The ag crown land leasing program is a key pillar in the success of livestock production in Manitoba.

KAP has been engaged with the province and other stakeholders over the years regarding improvements to the ag crown land leasing program. More recently KAP provided feedback to the Department of Agriculture on recommended changes to the program.

After consulting with stakeholders, the Department of Agriculture released proposed amendments to the Agricultural Crown Lands Leases and Permits Regulation. KAP provided comments (Agricultural Crown Lands Leases and Permits Regulations – KAP Letter)to the department regarding these changes.
