The Department of Agriculture is responsible for administering the Animal Care Act. This piece of regulation sets standards on acceptable care practices for animals in Manitoba.

Bill 31 was introduced during the 42nd legislature. The amendments of the bill focused on the appeal process within the Act.

KAP provided comments to the department stating our support for the bill due to the efficiencies and improvements the amendments would create.
